Adrianne has been riding for 20+ years and has shown in Dressage, Eventing and Jumpers. She grew up working with Off The Track Thoroughbreds and has a preference for the harder to ride, hotter horses, but will happily take the reins of a working cow horse any day of the week.
Adrianne has worked for many big names in the industry as a groom, assistant and barn manager. She prides herself on having much versatility, and tries to see the good and purpose in every discipline, while always aiming for a better way to resolve the bad.
She now offers limited training spaces available to those looking to further their education in horsemanship, while still maintaining a fundamental dressage base to all work.
When you are patient, you will leave space to hear what your horse is telling you.
To be patient with your horse is to accept where you are at today, and leave space for growth in the moment.
Horses learn best with consistency and predictability.
I combine this with positive reinforcement such as pressure and release to have positive outcomes.
Being consistent can be as simple as knowing when to end a ride, offering the same response to an aid, or showing up for your horse everyday.
Horses inherently want guidance from the handler.
I believe in taking the ego out of the equation, and always being firm, but fair. I believe in leaving room for mistakes, rather than micromanaging every step.
By being patient, consistent, and fair you are showing your horse that you respect him and are worth their respect in return. A horse who respects his handler will continue to open up to learning and the handler will find they have an easier time reaching goals.
If you apply confidence with well meaning intentions your horse will generally be more open and forgiving as you learn to speak his language.
As you start to see improvements, you will gain confidence to continue with the method.
Horses trust their handlers and their trainers when they feel respected, understood, and are treated fairly. Handlers need to trust themselves, their horse and the process.
I personally measure success for my horses by making multiple small goals per session. I call them small victories, and find that horses and handlers progress further when they believe and know they can successful on a daily basis.
Lastly, but always worth mentioning - don't forget to have some fun.
Horses are playful by nature, if they don't have a buddy to play with, you should allow space for that during your work as well.

In early 2022 I branched out in my creativity when I couldn't find tack to suit my needs at a reasonable price. I have developed halters that offer exceptional control, as well as adjustable neck ropes for bridleless riding.
I use top of the line lariat ropes to modify the tack to custom fit your horse. Please reach out if you would like more information.
I do offer a service for service trade. Please reach out if you are interested in horse training sessions, and let me know what services you offer so we can work something out.
